E’ nel 1965 che DORATEX inizia la sua attività in un piccolo casolare, dove due artigiani creano i loro primi oggetti d’arte.   Nel 1972 DORATEX, trasferìtasi alle porte di Firenze, è già un’azienda che pur ampliata e consolidata conserva ancora la  manualità e le tecniche tipiche della bottega artigiana.
Dal 2011 con il decesso di entrambi i fondatori, i figli hanno continuato l’attività e ancora oggi DORATEX usa quegli stessi metodi nella decorazione e nei processi di invecchiamento che donano alle cornici e agli oggetti d’arte la patina del tempo.   DORATEX pur guardando al passato per le tecniche di realizzazione è costantemente impegnata per le proprie creazioni alla ricerca di linee che rimangano attuali nel tempo.
DORATEX è quindi in grado di affrontare le sfide del presente con la sicurezza e la passione ereditate, che sono date da quelle stesse capacità che l’hanno resa leader nel settore in oltre cinquant’anni di attività.

In 1965, DORATEX started its production in a small homestead, where two craftmen created their artwork. In 1972, after moving close to Florence, DORATEX had already become a larger and consolidated firm, though still using manufacturing techniques which are typical of handicraft. From 2011 with the death of both craftmen, sons continued with passion the activity, and still today, DORATEX employs the same methods in decoration, and in those ageing processes which give picture frames and other art objects a charming patina.
Though looking at the past as far as production techniques are concerned, DORATEX has undertaken constant research for its creation to always be up to date, style-wise. The frames and art objects created by DORATEX, with the care and attention which have always characterized them, furnish houses the world over with taste and style. Thus, DORATEX is able to face the new century with self-confidence on account of those very skills which have made it a leader in its field for over fifty years.
